What if Poe's stories never died? When Edgar Allan Poe died, his stories continued to live on, inside the Cupboard. That's what Emily learns when she finds out what really goes on when her boyfriend, Landyn Grace, and his brothers get called "home".
But her world is about to take a dangerous turn when she finds out one of Landyn's brothers is out to kill a local author who's own stories are coming to life.
Will the author survive? And what happens when Poe's stories are unleashed on Savannah, Georgia?
Only the Shadow Rats will know.

Lovers of Poe will swallow this book with gusto; a unique story in a beautifully created world with amazing characters. Characters that jump out the page and each have their unique voices and own personalities. From the very beginning Kaleigh Cochran has an amazing way with words and has put her own spin on a world certainly Poe-inspired. A storyline that keeps you guessing until the very end, and one that keeps you page-turning and swallowing the words. I would highly recommend this book, for the creativity and originality that comes along with a brilliant writing style. A flair with words, description and raw, real dialogue, 'Shadow Rats' should definitely be on your table for others to read, and you may want to stick the kettle on again, because they'll be engrossed within a few chapters.
